Session 1 Foundations of Acupuncture

Service Description

Core Concepts: This course will cover basic concepts in Chinese medicine. Concepts such as Qi, Yin and Yang, Vital Substances, Methods of Diagnosis, Zang-Fu organ theory, and the causes of disease in TCM will be discussed. Introduction to Chinese history, the Eight Principles, and the Acupuncture Channels will also be covered. We will go over the clean needle technique and proper needling etiquette. We will also begin learning the LU/LI meridians and point to location lab. We will then cover the 5 element theory and horary cycle. We will then progress into covering the Stomach and spleen meridians and then point location lab.
